Canoeing on the Lainsitz River from Gmünd, Lower Austria
Come enjoy an active day in a pristine river landscape with its unique flora and fauna, far away from civilization. For this program, you should bring a bit of a taste for campfire romance and a love of physical activity (though canoeing experience isn’t required). Your instructors will be with you all day; the canoe is, of course, provided, as are waterproof, sealable containers for your personal items (e.g., camera). Please also remember to bring a swimsuit, and even though this is just a day trip, bring a change of clothes and appropriate shoes. Life jackets are also available (free of charge) upon request.
The meeting time is 9:30 a.m. Your guides will be waiting for you at the Suchdol nad Lužnicí campground. You’ll paddle the stretch between Suchdol and Majdalena. In the event of extreme water levels caused by severe weather, the trip may still be canceled at the meeting point. Lunch break by the campfire with a group barbecue. The canoe trip ends around 4:00 p.m.
